Infectious disco beats provided by the former Controller Controller rhythm section coupled with strong vocals from singer Vanessa Fischer, formerly of No Dynamics, give little delight in this sub-average debut EP from Toronto band Lioness. Cuts like “What You Do Will Come Back to You†and “You’re My Heart†harken back to the aforementioned Controller Controller, but the rest do little to lure listeners in.
